Is IPL Doosra (IPL 2) as exciting and as entertaining as its first edition

Imaging of IPL being played out of india is really difficult to understand.The on going elections in India and the shaky security situation in the South asian region has ensured the move of this gilitering cricket festival to South Africa.The exciting twenty20 format of cricket has appealed to the cricket and non cricket fans around the world.A twenty20 match has it all the high scores, the big hits,yorkers,unorthodox field position,cheergirls,dance,music,adrenaline rush and close finishes.Its really a version of cricket that enchanted the cricket crazy nation of India and millions of viewers around the world inthe first IPL.

Unfortunatly,IPL 2 is not having that impact.It has already started in South Africa.One has to really question the managment that why was the opening cermony held on the eve of 18th april by the time two matches had already taken place? I cannot explain how bizarre and out of place it looked.From the first match IPL doosra failed to make its impression.Empty seats in the stadium on the first day reflected that the south african people cannot connect to the Foreign league .If the IPL had taken place in india ,the stand would have been jammed packed with fans chanting out slogans for there own team.Apart from that there are number of reasons that this IPL has failed or won't be that exciting as the inaugural IPL.The reasons are

• the Bollywood glamour doesn't appeal to the masses audience in South Africa.The crowd might not even know who is pretty zinta (actress)
• The concept of Home and Away game is no more there.As every team is playing on the same grounds.
• The African people have no loyality towards the teams that are playing in the IPL.
• The South African tracks are bouncy and incourage back foot players.These tracks are hard to find in India were the pitches are placcid and players can play following drives.
• All the Indian domestic players are not use to playing on such pitches and would really struggle to score big on such tracks.So exciting Close finishes are threatened of extinction
  
• The Multi-national companies had very little time to really advertise and market the Indian cricket league in South Africa.
• The Indian players especially the national team players are not impressed by the move of IPL out of India.These professionals are captaining there home cities.Hence it is bound to have an impact.

• The Indians were anxiously waiting for IPL doosra .The move might alien many supporter of IPL.

My predictions can be wrong but only time would tell
